This patch removes pkg/util/mount completely, and replaces it with the
mount package now located at k8s.io/utils/mount. The code found at
k8s.io/utils/mount was moved there from pkg/util/mount, so the code is
identical, just no longer in-tree to k/k.
- Rename MapDevice to MapPodDevice in BlockVolumeMapper
- Add UnmapPodDevice in BlockVolumeUnmapper (This will be used by csi driver later)
- Add CustomBlockVolumeMapper and CustomBlockVolumeUnmapper interface
- Move SetUpDevice and MapPodDevice to CustomBlockVolumeMapper
- Move TearDownDevice and UnmapPodDevice to CustomBlockVolumeUnmapper
- Implement CustomBlockVolumeMapper only in local and csi plugin
- Implement CustomBlockVolumeUnmapper only in fc, iscsi, rbd, and csi plugin
- Change MapPodDevice to return path and SetUpDevice not to return path
This change is needed to make descriptor lock per pod, in the next commit.
If losetup is called for symlink, path in the output for losetup is resolved,
as a result, we can't distinguish which path the lock is taken.
This patch removes mount.Exec entirely and instead uses the common
utility from k8s.io/utils/exec.
The fake exec implementation found in k8s.io/utils/exec differs a bit
than mount.Exec, with the ability to pre-script expected calls to
Command.CombinedOutput(), so tests that previously relied on a callback
mechanism to produce specific output have been updated to use that
mechanism.
This patch moves fake.go to mount_fake.go, and follows to principle of
always returning a discrete type rather than an Interface. All callers
of "FakeMounter" are changed to instead use "NewFakeMounter()". The
FakeMounter "Log" struct member is changed to not be exported, and
instead only access through a new "GetLog()" method.
This patch moves the HostUtil functionality from the util/mount package
to the volume/util/hostutil package.
All `*NewHostUtil*` calls are changed to return concrete types instead
of interfaces.
All callers are changed to use the `*NewHostUtil*` methods instead of
directly instantiating the concrete types.
This patch refactors pkg/util/mount to be more usable outside of
Kubernetes. This is done by refactoring mount.Interface to only contain
methods that are not K8s specific. Methods that are not relevant to
basic mount activities but still have OS-specific implementations are
now found in a mount.HostUtils interface.
This test is suspectible to flakes because sometimes
while we verify if volume is attached to a node, reconciler
loop can turn second time and it can confirm the volume as attached.
This patch cleans up pkg/util/mount/* and pkg/util/volume/* to always
use filepath.Join instead of path.Join. filepath.Join is preferred
because path.Join can have issues on Windows.
This is the 2nd PR to move CSINodeInfo/CSIDriver APIs to
v1beta1 core storage APIs. It includes controller side changes.
It depends on the PR with API changes:
https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/73883
UnmountDevice must not clear devicepath, because such devicePath
may come from node.status (e.g. on AWS) and subsequent MountDevice
operation (that may be already enqueued) needs it.
Individual implementations are not yet being moved.
Fixed all dependencies which call the interface.
Fixed golint exceptions to reflect the move.
Added project info as per @dims and
https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes-template-project.
Added dims to the security contacts.
Fixed minor issues.
Added missing template files.
Copied ControllerClientBuilder interface to cp.
This allows us to break the only dependency on K8s/K8s.
Added TODO to ControllerClientBuilder.
Fixed GoDeps.
Factored in feedback from JustinSB.

Volume topology aware dynamic provisioning: work based on new API
**What this PR does / why we need it**:
The PR has been split to 3 parts:
Part1: https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/63232 for basic scheduler and PV controller plumbing
Part2: https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/63233 for API change
and the PR itself includes work based on the API change:
- Dynamic provisioning allowed topologies scheduler work
- Update provisioning interface to be aware of selected node and topology

Delegate map operation to BlockVolumeMapper plugin
**What this PR does / why we need it**:
This PR refactors the volume controller's operation generator, for block mapping, to delegate core block mounting sequence to the `volume.BlockVolumeMapper` plugin instead of living in the operation generator. This is to ensure better customization of block volume logic for existing internal volume plugins.

This change is prerequisite for implementing iSCSI attacher
and detacher.
In order to use chap authentication at iSCSI plugin after
implementing attacher and detacher, secret is needed at
AttachDisk() which is called from WaitForAttach().
To obtain secret, pod information is required, but
WaitForAttach() doesn't pass pod information inside.
This patch adds 'pod' as an argument of WaitForAttach()
and adds changes to drivers who implements WaitForAttach().

Prepare VolumeHost for running mount tools in containers
This is the first part of implementation of https://github.com/kubernetes/features/issues/278 - running mount utilities in containers.
It updates `VolumeHost` interface:
* `GetMounter()` now requires volume plugin name, as it is going to return different mounter to different volume plugings, because mount utilities for these plugins can be on different places.
* New `GetExec()` method that should volume plugins use to execute any utilities. This new `Exec` interface will execute them on proper place.
* `SafeFormatAndMount` is updated to the new `Exec` interface.
This is just a preparation, `GetExec` right now leads to simple `os.Exec` and mount utilities are executed on the same place as before. Also, the volume plugins will be updated in subsequent PRs (split into separate PRs, some plugins required lot of changes).

Local storage plugin
**What this PR does / why we need it**:
Volume plugin implementation for local persistent volumes. Scheduler predicate will direct already-bound PVCs to the node that the local PV is at. PVC binding still happens independently.

[Bug Fix]: Avoid evicting more pods than necessary by adding Timestamps for fsstats and ignoring stale stats
Continuation of #33121. Credit for most of this goes to @sjenning. I added volume fs timestamps.
**why is this a bug**
This PR attempts to fix part of https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/issues/31362 which results in multiple pods getting evicted unnecessarily whenever the node runs into resource pressure. This PR reduces the chances of such disruptions by avoiding reacting to old/stale metrics.
Without this PR, kubernetes nodes under resource pressure will cause unnecessary disruptions to user workloads.
This PR will also help deflake a node e2e test suite.
The eviction manager currently avoids evicting pods if metrics are old. However, timestamp data is not available for filesystem data, and this causes lots of extra evictions.
See the [inode eviction test flakes](https://k8s-testgrid.appspot.com/google-node#kubelet-flaky-gce-e2e) for examples.
This should probably be treated as a bugfix, as it should help mitigate extra evictions.

This implements Bulk volume polling using ideas presented by
justin in https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/39564
But it changes the implementation to use an interface
and doesn't affect other implementations.
