- don't require clusteconfiguration.kubernetesVersion
- use the helper functions GetConfigMap, ExpectRole, ExpectRoleBinding
(these were used before UnversionedKubeletConfig went Beta)
The tests in nodes_test.go check if the Node objects
in a kubeadm cluster are annotated with a CRI socket
path. It is used by kubeadm to store a CRI socket per node.
Add a new test condition to verify if the CRI socket path
is prefixed with URL scheme "unix://".
- iniconfiguration.go: stop applying the "master" taint
for new clusters; update related unit tests in _test.go
- apply.go: Remove logic related to cleanup of the "master" label
during upgrade
- apply.go: Add cleanup of the "master" taint on CP nodes
during upgrade
- controlplane_nodes_test.go: remove test for old "master" taint
on nodes (this needs backport to 1.24, because we have a kubeadm
1.25 vs kubernetes test suite 1.24 e2e test)
The kubeadm defaults in features.go differ between versions.
e2e_kubeadm tests cannot import the kubeadm features.go,
or easily detect the versioned of the kubeadm binary used
to create the cluster.
Check for the existence of both versioned and unversioned
objects independent of the value of the FG. Once the FG
goes GA only the unversioned objects should be checked.
Without this change kubeadm e2e skew tests will fail where kubeadm
is at 1.24 (has the FG defaulted to true), the FG is not
explicitly set by the user and the k8s version is at 1.23.
- Graduate the feature gate to Beta and enable it by default.
- Pre-set the default value for UnversionedKubeletConfigMap
to "true" in test/e2e_kubeadm.
- Fix a couple of typos in "tolerate" introduced in the PR that
added the FG in 1.23.
- Reword old "master" label to "Legacy"
- Add new "control-plane" label
- Use new label to count CP nodes
- Check for both taints on CP nodes
- Leave TODOs for 1.25
The featureGates field in ClusterConfiguration ends up
as a map[interface{}]interface{} in the test suite
and cannot be casted to map[string]bool directly.
Adapt the test to use map[interface{}]interface{}.
Remove the e2e test for ClusterStatus in the kubeadm suite.
The object was deprecated in a previous release and is no longer
written by kubeadm v1.22 in the kubeadm-config config map.
Looks like there is a bit of an issue in the Bluderbuss (Prow plugin)
where it prefers to pick reviewers from a parent OWNERS files,
instead of using an approver from a current OWNERS file as
an additional reviewer.
Remove Todos for verification of “allowed to
post CSR” and "allowed to auto approve CSR"
for bootstraptoken group, as these privilege
bindings are not managed by kubeadm source
code

kubeadm creates the bootstrap token with extra group
, system:bootstrappers:kubeadm:default-node-token,
should be able to be used for authentication and
signing.

* podSubnet check: if a podSubnet is specified in kubeadm-config
then the e2e test will check that pod-cidrs of individual nodes
fall within this range.
* serviceSubnet check: if a serviceSubnet is specified in
kubeadm-config then the e2e test will check that the kubernetes
service created in the default namespace got a service IP
from the configured range.
Tests should never directly add to the global command line, because
some users of the tests might not want them there. For example,
options might only get set directly from a config file.
To achieve that, e2e/framework/config, e2e/framework/viperconfig, and
e2e/framework/test_context.go avoid using the global flag set and
instead expect to be told by the caller which flag set to use. Tests
that called flag directly either get updated or obsolete flags get
removed.
The exception is framework.HandleFlags, which as before directly
implements global command line handling.
This is a breaking change for test suites which do not use that
function (and only those): they now need to ensure that they copy
individual flags from tests. Because the RegisterCommonFlags prototype
has changed, test suite authors will notice due to the resulting
compilation errors.
- comment out Liz and Chuck until further notice.
Feel free to come back to kubeadm!!
- Add SataQiu as reviewer. Welcome.
- Add ereslibre as approver. Congrats!
