Enhance the ziomon man page to document support for persistent SCSI device symlinks under /dev/disk/ subdirectories (by-id, by-path, by-uuid, etc.). The DESCRIPTION section now clarifies that multipath devices and/or device symlinks resolve to their underlying regular block devices for monitoring. Updated EXAMPLES to include a scenario demonstrating usage with a device symlink alongside regular and multipath devices. .SH NAME
ziomon \- Collect data for performance analysis of fcp adapters.
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B ziomon
[-h] [-V] [-v] [-f] [-l <sz_limit>] [-i n] -d n -o <logfile> <device>...

.SH DESCRIPTION
.B ziomon
starts and controls various utilities to collect data for performance analysis
for a specified duration. It is possible to specify multipath devices and persistent
device symlinks from /dev/disk/... subdirectories (such as by-id, by-path, by-uuid,
by-label, etc.). If multipath devices or device symlinks are specified, the respective
underlying regular block devices will be monitored.

.SH OPTIONS
.TP
.BR "\-h" " or " "\-\-help"
Print help information, then exit.
.TP
.BR "\-v" " or " "\-\-version"
Print version information, then exit.
.TP
.BR "\-V" " or " "\-\-verbose"
Be verbose.
.TP
.BR "\-f" " or " "\-\-force"
Force start of data collection even though there is insufficient free disk space.
.TP
.BR "\-l" " or " "\-\-size-limit"
Upper limit of the output files. May include one of the suffixes
M (megabytes), G (gigabytes) or T (terabytes) to specify a unit measure.
Unit measure defaults to megabytes.
Note that this is only a tentative value which might be slightly exceeded.
.TP
.BR "\-i" " or " "\-\-interval-length"
Specify the time to elapse between recording data in seconds. Must be an even number.
Defaults to 60 seconds.
.TP
.BR "\-d" " or " "\-\-duration"
Overall monitoring duration in minutes. Must be a multiple of the
interval length.
.TP
.BR "\-o" " or " "\-\-outfile"
Basename for output files.
.TP
.BR device
specifies a device to collect respective data for.
.SH EXAMPLES
Collect data for devices /dev/sda, /dev/sdg, /dev/sdp, the multipath device
/dev/mapper/36005076303ffc104000000000000212b and the device symlink
/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-36005076307ffd72c00000000000054f5 for 5 minutes.
Data should be sampled every 20 seconds.
The collected data size should not exceed 50 MB.
The output files should base their names on 'trace_data':
ziomon -i 20 -d 5 -l 50M -o trace_data /dev/sda /dev/sdg /dev/sdp /dev/mapper/36005076303ffc104000000000000212b /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-36005076307ffd72c00000000000054f5
